Moto GP Silverstone, Great Britain
Casey Stoner won a soaking wet British Grand Prix at Silverstone to take the MotoGP World Championship lead as Jorge Lorenzo crashed out. Andrea Dovizioso was second on the sister Repsol Honda with Colin Edwards finishing a remarkable third on the Tech 3 Yamaha a week after breaking his collarbone. Valentino Rossi was sixth after starting from 13th.
